Genzyme Patient Advocacy
Genzyme's Patient Advocacy Department is a confidential service for patients with Pompe disease and their families. Our staff:
- Provides support to patients, such as identifying resources within their communities
- Facilitates contact between patients, health care providers, disease specialists, and others who play a role in the diagnosis and treatment of Pompe disease
- Builds understanding within Genzyme of patients' general needs and concerns, and builds relationships between Genzyme and patient communities

Genzyme Treatment Support
Genzyme Treatment Support is a team of nurses and other health care professionals who are ready to provide voluntary and confidential one-on-one insurance counseling to patients and their families who are insured by a United States health insurance policy.
Genzyme Treatment Support includes:
- Disease-related educational materials for patients, families, and health care providers
- Evaluation of a patient's or family's current health insurance policy upon request
- Assistance in evaluating a patient's future insurance coverage options
- Identification of alternative funding and insurance options
